WHITE CALCINED ALUMINUM OXIDE
White calcined alumina powders consist of specially heat treated aluminum oxide platelets of more than 99% purity. This platelet shape orients the grains parallel to the lap and the material surface ensuring uniform pressure over a relatively large area of the crystal. Platelet alignment maximizes particle life and minimizes excessive gouging and subsurface damage.
Microgrit WCA- Microgrit WCA is high quality white calcined alumina specially designed for use in precision lapping applications where close tolerances and minimal subsurface damage are required. WCA is classified by water separation process that yields a narrow particle size band. Available in suspension and non-suspension treated options.
Fujimi PWA- Fujimi PWA is a premium white calcined alumina featuring precise platelet crystal structure to yield accelerated stock removal rates with minimal subsurface damage. Fujimi’s unique produces the closest grading available in the industry. Available in suspension and non-suspension treated options.
WHITE FUSED ALUMINUM OXIDE
White fused alumina is high purity, typically 99.5%, and utilizes a sharp shape and soft structure for excellent lapping and stock removal characteristics. Great for soft metals or nonmetallic materials and applications where preventing chemical contamination are critical.
Salem White Alpha- Salem White Alpha is a select group of precision graded fused alumina abrasive powders. These durable and sharp grains are proven in many industrial applications where superior finish and close dimensional controls are required.
BROWN FUSED ALUMINUM OXIDE
Brown fused alumina crystal’s toughness defines its lapping and blasting characteristics. The blocky shape and chemical composition of our alpha form alumina yields a tough structure. This brown alpha alumina is stable across all spectrums of temperature.
Salem Brown Alpha- Salem Brown Alpha is a select group of precision graded fused alumina abrasive powders. These durable and sharp grains are proven in many industrial applications where superior finish and close dimensional controls are required. Salem Alpha Alumina are toleranced to extremely close limits.
Silicon carbide is produced from a reaction between high purity silica sand and coke in a resistance type furnace. Silicon carbide is unique in its ability to cut or grind glass, ceramics, silicon, and other hard materials. It is one of the hardest materials in the industry, utilizing a high friability to continuously expose cutting edges. This unique characteristic yields a fast, clean cutting and lapping action where precision finishes are required. Due to strict particle size and shape controls, these abrasive powders are now used in applications involving tolerances previously considered too close for such a sharp, hard abrasive.
Salem Carbosil- Salem Carbosil is an economical silicon carbide characterized by extremely hard and sharp particles. Carbosil fractures readily during use to provide new cutting surfaces.

CERIUM OXIDE COMPOUNDS
Lensmax A- Lensmax is a versatile, competitively priced, cerium oxide polishing compound especially designed for polishing glass lenses in the Rx Ophthalmic lab. It is compatible with natural and synthetic polishing material.
Superox 100T- Superox 100T is a premium grade cerium oxide polishing compound. Utilizing minimum carry out, low operating Baumé and strictly controlled particle size.
Eclipse –Eclipse is recommended for applications in precision optics as well as for flat glass and mirror. Eclipse provides high polishing rates combined with outstanding finish quality for a broad range of applications. The suspension characteristics maintain consistent Baumé levels for recirculating systems and ease the removal and cleaning process.
Status –Status is a premium grade glass polishing compound. This high quality polish is not suspension treated. Its special formulation makes it effective with both brush-on and recirculating applications. Status yields extremely high stock removal while producing pristine surface finishes.
Cerox 1650 – Cerox 1650 is a high quality cerium oxide based glass polishing compound. Because of its durability, Cerox 1650 retains its effectiveness over a long period. This polish is suitable for a broad range of applications from ophthalmic lenses to precision glass.
Cerox 1663- Cerox 1663 is particularly suited for polishing ophthalmic lenses in mass production, prescription, and glass optics. This product exhibits excellent suspension characteristics, high polishing efficiency, and high cleanliness.
Cerox 1670- Cerox 1670 is the product of a unique process that yields a high purity cerium oxide. Particles are extremely sharp and durable producing unparalleled speed, life, and surface finish across a broad range of polishing applications.
Opaline- Opaline is a pure, white cerium with strict control applied to the critical parameters of hardness, shape, size, and distribution. Opaline’s quality control makes it the perfect choice for high precision polishing of all types of glass requiring critical surface finish.
Ascend - Ascend is a high purity ceria based precision glass polishing slurry produced using a proprietary process to precisely control crystallite hardness. It is suitable for use on all pitch types and high quality polishing pads.
ALUMINUM OXIDE COMPOUNDS
Acrylic Polish 720- Acrylic Polish 720 is an excellent polishing agent for acrylic aircraft windows, this polish is excellent in many hard polymer applications.
ALUMINUM OXIDE SLURRIES
Aluminum oxide slurries are pre wetted for your application. Utilizing the finest in finishing techniques and suspension agents, we ensure a quality, true finish on a wide range of materials.
Orion- high quality polishing compound developed for polymer optics including polycarbonate and acrylic. Utilizing a superb suspension chemistry, this product maintains a consistent Baumé for an even finish and reduced build up and caking.
Aspire- Aspire is a high performance polymer polish ideal for both digital and conventional polishing. Aspire is precision engineered to provide high removal rates and produce superior surface finishes on CR-39, High Index, and Polycarbonate materials.
